3 December 2015: We had a visit from two specialist, Steve Fernandes, structural engineer from Arups, and Milind Khade, one of our alumni and now a senior architect at Zaha Hadid Architects. We also had Noura Ghabra and Xianfeng Wu tutoring. Steve started the day with a lecture on structure, and at the end of the day, Milind did a lecture on his work with Zaha Hadid.

Canary Wharf, our final destination

Arcades are a frequently used urban device in Canary Wharf, giving shelter and enlarging the public space at the ground plane.

Canary Wharf is full of sculptures that are fun to interact with


We arrived by waterbus, but had to descend into the underground station to experience the vast space.
