Permaculture course for TB students 30.4.14

30 April 2014: In the final week of the vacation, DNC took a car full of students for a Farming experience day or what our host calls 'Permaculture in Practice' course. This was the first time any of us had been, but it was a good experience and for DNC, a bit life-changing, as the garden of his house will be transformed!
John Macdonald explaining some of the basics of soil chemistry.
Adding manure to the planting bed and depositing some seedlings.
John explains his scheme to form lakes on his land as a flood protection scheme for Woodborough village, and as a wild bird and insect sanctuary - diverting the stream into two linked five acre lakes.
